Welcome To All

We are a Baptist church that believes in ministering to our community of Melba. We have been here since 1919 with the idea that we welcome any person of any church background who desires to be a part of our life and witness to our community.

We also believe in the transforming power of the Holy Spirit of God to bring about spiritual growth in the life of any believer in Jesus as Savior and Lord, who desires to be transformed.

On the road to transformation, we offer Sunday School classes for all age groups from toddlers to senior citizens. Sunday School begins at 9:45 am every Sunday. Our Morning Worship begins at 10:50 am on Sunday mornings, with nursery care provided up to age 4 (four).

 

During the school year we have the following programs that minister to our community:
 

•A FREE YOUTH BREAKFAST on Thursday mornings for 7th - 12th grade students. It begins at 7:30 am and goes to 8 am with a devotional thought and prayer time and is open to any youth. We also endeavor to have one or two 5th Quarter events during the school year for all 7th - 12th grade students after games.

•Wednesday night Youth Group for 7th-12th grade students meets at 7 pm. The Youth Group has had several outings to see pictures of the fun.  Click here

  1. Vacation Bible School
  2. This years Vacation Bible School will be held the first week of June at the Friends Church.
     

•BIBLE STUDY & Prayer Meeting for adults is on Wednesday nights at 7 pm. We come to learn more about being transformed into the likeness of Jesus. The Bible Study Topic for the month of September is Gifts.

•Hot Dog Days of August was a great sucess

  Come out and enjoy a picnic & games each Sunday at 6 pm during the month of August at the Melba City Park.

•MEN’S BREAKFAST & BIBLE STUDY is held during the months of November - May. We meet on the First & Third Saturday of the month at 7 am. Every man in the community is welcome to attend. This non-stressful meeting of men is a place to discuss your concerns and obtain ideas for helping you in your everyday life. What is discussed here stays here. September 18 will be the first meeting.

•The LADIES’ ABW MINISTRIES will be meeting along with the Saturday monring Ladies Bible Study on the 4th Saturday of the month at Karen Bravender's. We have several new exciting projects so plan on being there.

  • The Ladies" Bible Study will be starting in September again. It will be held the 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month at Karen Bravender's House. The ABW Ministries is going to join them this fall for a joint meeting. Watch for news of which meeting.
     
    •

    At the present we are between pastor's. Rev Tom Romberg of Boise has been filling in on Sundays, although we love Tom we hope it won't be too long before we have a new permanent Pastor.
